  1. How long does it take to setup credit card processing?
All applicants will be required to sign their application form, so only filling out the online application is not acceptable. If you will in the online application, a TransactUSA representative will contact you and send you a copy of your application via fax or email for you to print and sign. In addition, your application will also require some general ownership documentation pertaining to the business, the business owner, and the daily activities of the business. You are free to submit the required documents including all necessary signatures any one of 3 ways:
  Rush Fax: 24 Hour Approval (1 business day in most cases)
Our applications are available for immediate access and download directly form our website, which enables applicants to fill it out and fax it back to us including all signatures and documentation right away. The standard approval process for a credit card merchant account will be completed within 24 hours. It is during this time that TransactUSA can also drop ship your credit card terminal to you in less than 24 hours. Once your terminal is in hand, the team of TransactUSA Technicians will promptly address the programming of your credit card terminal as soon as your credit card processing account has been approved. If you would like to receive your terminal within the 24 hour rush delivery time frame you will need to select the overnight shipping option, and pay the necessary delivery expenses.
  Online Application: With Fax 48 to 72 Hours
We offer this option for our clients preferring to have their application faxed in, but would not like to use the overnight delivery option for their credit card terminal. Once again we have found a way to save our customers even more when they choose TransactUSA.
  Online Application: Using Priority Mail 5 to 7 Days

  2. How do I get paid from the sales generated through my credit card processing account?
The revenues form your sales are automatically deposited into your checking account once they have been through all the approval channels such as approval from the credit card issuing bank of your customers cards. The processing fees charged by TransactUSA are automatically deducted when they pass through our accounts into your own checking account, so you never have to mail in any payments for our services.
   
  3. How long does it take for the funds to be transferred to my account?
Merchants should expect it to take 24-48 hours from the time their transactions are approved till the time the revenues clear and are deposited into their checking accounts at their local banks. This is the standard for all processors in the industry, not just TransactUSA. No company can offer you a faster turnaround, because all processors must follow the same guidelines and processes outlined under proper Visa and Mastercard regulations.
   
  4. Do I need a business checking account?
All companies operating under a corporation or LLC status are required to have a business checking account. Only the businesses operating legally as sole proprietorships or partnerships may use a regular bank account as long as the individual or partners' name(s) must are on the checks.
   
  5. What if I have questionable credit?
TransactUSA offers solutions for all business owners who need credit card processing. There are several options for our customers with credit ratings that are less than perfect. Even in situations when we cannot get you approved, since there is no application fee, or approval fee, you do not have to worry about paying anything or losing any money. We try our best to work with all clients to get them approved. Many times, customers can get approved when they joint apply with someone such as a partner or a spouse.   6. When the credit card terminal or PC Software dials out for approval, am I charged any long distance or communication fees?
Customers are not charged for any communication fees because it is all done over a toll free line.
   
  7. If I purchase equipment, how is it shipped?
Customers select the desired shipping method either standard ground or overnight shipping.
   
  8. Will I have 24 hour customer support?
All customers receive 24/7 support direct from many sources, such as our processing banks, our terminal and equipment partners and even our gateway partner’s. Any problems that arise can be dealt with swiftly and easily at any hour of your business day.
   
  9. Do I need a dedicated phone line?
Customers will not need extra phone jacks because the credit card terminals have dual phone jacks which means they have the ability to connect the terminal and other peripheral equipment; modems, phone, fax to one line.
   
  10. Who installs the terminal?
It is the TransactUSA policy to not hire outside sales personnel because we have a goal of lowering overall customer costs while making the process as streamlined and middleman free as possible. Our company greatly reduces the prices for you, our merchants, by easily completing the terminal programming procedures right over the phone. You’re your account is approved, and you receive your terminal, we will complete all the programming right over the phone, at zero expense to you our merchants. The credit card terminal programming procedure is simple and customers have multiple sources for toll free assistance and instructions.
   
  11. Do I receive training?
All terminals come with diagramed directions, complete instruction manuals and of course toll free access to the best training centers in the industry. Our customers receive step by step instructions to give them the level of clarity and understanding that makes them comfortable with their new credit card processing setup.
   
  12. How do I sign up for American Express and Discover Card?
  American Express ($49 activation fee)
For an American Express setup we will send you an application form unless otherwise requested by you at the time of registration. American Express requires that we file a separate approval from visa and mastercard. Once approved, TransactUSA will internally activate your account for American Express. All that is required from the client is that you sign the forms and the process is almost completed in its entirety. Of course, the actual processing fees and rates will vary depending on business type and average sale amount.
  The following is the rate range you can expect. (Rates and fees for American Express are subject to change).
Retail - Average sale $150 or less = 3.25%
Average sale $150-249 = 3.10%
Average sale $250+ = 2.95%
Internet/Mail/Telephone order - $0- $4,999 total annual volume = $5.00 per month, flat fee.
$5,000 or higher annually volume = 3.5%
   
  Discover Card
TransactUSA can setup your company to process Discover as well, but they follow a separate process from Visa & MC.. We will need to forward you request directly to Discover because they have a unique and specific approval process. A Discover representative will contact you and discuss their program. Once a merchant number has been issued by Discover, we will add it to your account with TransactUSA so that one credit card processing merchant account processes all your transaction sales.
